Open Tender supports both Apple Pay and Google Pay on Open Tender websites and mobile apps. We've done the heavy lifting on the development side so that setup is relatively straightforward, but it's still a bit of a process given how Apple Pay and Google Pay work. Below you'll find the steps for each.

Apple Pay

Visit the Apple Developer site and create a developer account (you'll need to pay a fee of $99 per year). Once you've done that, please share the login credentials with your Open Tender contact. The setup is fairly technical, so we'll handle it once we have access to your Apple Developer account.

One thing to note about Apple Pay: the customer must be involved in all authorizations (i.e. any time the payment amount changes). This prevents you from making any edits to an order that would affect the payment total, such as adjusting the tip, editing the order, or adding or removing surcharges. As a result, we highly recommend that you enable Apple Pay for regular online orders but NOT catering orders.

Google Pay

Visit the Google Pay & Wallet Console and set up a merchant account. Start by creating a "Business Profile", which will ask you to create a payments profile. Google provides various links to help posts throughout the interface, so please follow those if you get stuck.

Once you've established your Business Profile, please share access with your Open Tender contact, and we'll take it from there.
