When you start off working with Brandibble, you'll have a default state tax included for all of your locations. If you will not be charging Sales Tax at your location, please reach out to us so we can turn it off for you.

If you are operating in a state or locality that requires you to charge additional taxes, you can create them in Brandibble and then add them to each location.

First, create the tax itself by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings > Taxes

  2. Click on Add New Tax

  3. Fill out all of the required fields and click on Add New Tax

Adding additional taxes to each location

Once you've created the tax in Brandibble, you must then apply it to each location individually by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Locations and select the location you'd like to edit

  2. Click on the Order Settings tab

  3. Under Additional Sales Taxes, click on Add New

  4. Select the appropriate tax from the dropdown menu and click on Update Order Settings

  5. If you need to add more additional taxes, follow steps 3-4 for each one

Changing the sales tax at the location level

If you'd like to change the sales tax at one of your locations, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Locations and select the location you'd like to edit

  2. In the Basic Info tab, scroll down to Sales Tax and change the number, without using the % sign

  3. Click on Update Basic Info
